Welcome to the Isle of Wight Children and Young People’s Trust

The Isle of Wight promises to champion the presence, involvement and success of children and young people living on the Isle of Wight by delivering the Children and Young People’s Plan through the Children and Young People’s Trust.

The areas of work identified by children and young people, and in our recent Joint Area Review inspection can be summarised as improving:

STANDARDS
ACCESS
PREVENTION

The Isle of Wight will achieve these improvements with children, young people and their families at the centre of how services are designed and delivered, across both mainstream and more specialist services. The Children and Young People’s Trust joins up education, social care and health services – and is building closer links to other key services within and outside the Isle of Wight Council.

The Isle of Wight Children and Young People’s Trust provides us all with an important new opportunity to deliver joined up services which are more accessible to those who use them or would benefit from using them. We are building on and developing work already happening locally, such as our successful Healthy Schools and Extended Services in and around Schools, our Children’s Centres and Connexions.

The Isle of Wight Children and Young People’s Trust brings together all services working with children, young people aged 0 to 19 (and up to 25 for those who need additional support) and their families. More information on who is involved and how it works can be found on the website
