Developments of Social Rented Housing

Over the forthcoming years there will be a number of new housing developments on the Isle of Wight. These will be affordable housing and consist of mix of affordable rented units and other types of affordable housing.
All the rented units will be allocated by our Housing Association partners.
The information on this page will be updated with pictures and more detailed information on sizes as the sites develop.

The following new developments are on site during the 2008/2009 financial year.

Planning permission has been granted and the scheme is under way for a development of 21 flats including 12 social rented units.
The units should be completed and ready for occupation in May 2009.

Planning permission has been granted and this scheme will see Barratts Housing provide affordable housing that will be bought by Medina Housing Association and Vectis Housing Association.
Phase 1 of the scheme includes 51 rented units which will complete from March 2009 to May 2011.

Planning permission has been granted and the scheme is under way for a development of 99 affordable housing units including 46 social rented units.
