Isle of Wight Housing Register

The Isle of Wight Housing Register is a joint register used by our partner Housing Associations to allocate their properties. Although the Council itself no longer has any properties to rent following its stock transfer in 1990, Housing Services administer the register on behalf of the partnership.

For more information on how the register currently works, please see our Housing Register leaflet.

The Housing Register partnership is currently reviewing the way properties are allocated. For more information, please see our Housing Register Review page.

Housing Register

If you have a need for Housing on the Isle of Wight, whether rented, shared ownership, low cost home ownership or other housing we need you to register for housing.

In order to provide housing on the Island we need to know what the demand is and provide homes to those in most need.

On the 1 April 2003 the Island Housing Associations combined their lists to create one common register for affordable housing on the Island. For more information on housing associations please see our Affordable Housing section.

There is now one common application form that can be accessed through the Council and all partner Housing Associations on the Island.

For copies of the Council's allocation scheme please contact 01983 823040 or Email us.
