Newport Roman Villa

A visit to the villa provides a fascinating insight into life in Roman Britain.

Hands on activities are available to explore in our education room. Have a go at weaving a Roman blanket, try on some Roman style clothes and make a Roman mosaic.

Sit in the Roman garden. Newport Roman Villa has a charming garden, which contains plants that would have been native to Britain or introduced in the Roman period.

Free audio tours are available to all visitors, and why not have a go at our ‘free quiz’ or play a Roman game?

The villa has a small shop selling Roman themed gifts.
