Nominations are being sought for annual awards that celebrate disability diversity on the Isle of Wight.
The Island Ability Awards 2010 form part of the Isle of Wight Lord Lieutenants annual community celebration of achievements awards.
There are four categories - Lifelong Achievement (25+), Young Person, Business/Public Sector and Social Inclusion awards.
The Lifelong Achievement Award is for a person over 25 who has demonstrated a sustained and extraordinary personal commitment to improving and/or reshaping the lives of people with a disability.
The Young Person Award is for a person, under 25, who has raised awareness and shown outstanding leadership in improving the lives of people with a disability.
In the Business/Public Sector Award, nominations are sought for an organisation that has displayed an innovative approach or made a significant contribution in advancing and improving the lives of people with a disability.
The Social Inclusion Award is for a person or organisation who has worked towards improving a more inclusive environment be creating opportunities for people to participate more fully in Island life.

Once completed, they should be posted to Rosie Barnard, Lead Officer for Diversity and Wellbeing, Human Resources, County Hall, High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD
Nominations close at 1200 on Friday 10 September and the awards ceremony takes place at The Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes on 13 October 2010.
The Island Ability Awards are supported by Isle of Wight Council, South Wight Housing Association and Local Involvement Networks (LINKs).
