    Admissions Policy Consultation 2011-2012

    The Isle of Wight School Admission Policy comes under the Government’s Code on School Admissions. Under the code all relevant parents and other groups with an interest in the local area have a right to take part in the consultation process. If you wish to make a comment on the consultation version of an admissions policy you can write to School Admissions, Isle of Wight Council, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD or you can email school.admission@iow.gov.uk

    Comments should be sent in by 1 March 2010. The proposed admission policies and co-ordinated schemes can be found by clicking here or by contacting School Admissions.

  • Notice of Consultation for The Dog Exclusion (Isle of Wight) Order 2010

    The Isle of Wight Council proposes to make a Dog Control Order under section 55 of the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 amending the areas of beaches that dogs are prohibited from entering during the period of 1st May to 30th September each year.

    Isle of Wight Student Rider & Concessionary Fares Scheme

    The Concessionary Fares Scheme agreed by Isle of Wight Council has been amended in respect of certain elements of the Scheme made under the Transport Act 1985 and such amendments will come into effect on 1 April 2010. This Notice and Scheme replaces the Isle of Wight Concessionary Fares Scheme 2008 and supersedes all previous Concessionary Fare Schemes.

    The Student Rider Concessionary Fares Scheme determined by Isle of Wight Council (as amended by a variation notice on 4 February 2010) will come into effect on 1 April 2010 and continue until further notice.
