Home Energy Conservation – Information, Advice and Financial AssistanceEvery time we use gas or electricity in our homes, we are burning fossil fuels – coal, gas, oil and petrol – either directly or to generate energy. Generating or using energy releases the gas Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere. Carbon Dioxide is the main greenhouse gas which contributes to the threat of global warming. Over a quarter of the Carbon Dioxide we produce in the UK comes from energy used in the home. What can I do?Complete an online Home Energy Check to see how much energy your home is using.
