The 2010 Summer Reading Challenge

What is it?
The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year to encourage children to enjoy books and carry on reading through the school holiday. It involves children reading 6 books throughout the holiday, with prizes along the way, as well as a sticker poster to chart their progress and medal and certificate when they finish.
When does it start?
The Challenge begins on Saturday 17 July and runs throughout the summer holidays.
Who can get involved?
All children of any age can join in the fun. It’s totally free and just takes a minute to join up with a member of staff.
Why should my child participate?
The reading challenge is a great way to keep children involved in enjoying books throughout the holidays and has been proven to be extremely popular.
