Come and join the Challenge at Shanklin Library - It’s free and there are gifts for all children who join, plus medals and certificates for those who read 6 books of their choice during the challenge.

National Research has shown that participating in the Reading Challenge can have a very beneficial effect on children’s reading, since it causes them to keep reading over the long break. Teachers have reported a noticeable difference between the reading levels of children who take part in the Reading Challenge and those who do not.
