Opening HoursPlease note that with effect from 1st July 2009 Lord Louis Library will be closed on Wednesday each week. This follows the Council’s budget consultation on service priorities.

RNID
There are regular advice sessions held at the library, usually on the first Thursday of each month. Please check for details.
Silver Surfers
If you are over 50 and want to learn how to use the Internet and e-mail, register for a free 2 hour Silver Surfer Session at Lord Louis Library. Please ask at the Reference Library counter or telephone for further details.
Exhibitions
There is currently an exhibition of watercolour paintings by local artist Paul Cambray in the Seeley Gallery. The paintings are for sale, please ask staff for contact details
Reading Group
The reading group meets once a month at the library, usually the second Thursday of the month. Please ask at the counter or telephone for further details.
Book Sale
Withdrawn library books and other stock are on sale near the counter in the adult lending library. There is also a stand of Children’s books for sale in the Junior Library

It's for 7 - 16 year olds (with 3 age categories)
Theme of story has to be 'Out of This World' and has to be between 200-800 words

A collection of CDs that covers the music from the 1960s to the 1990s, come in and borrow some of the great artists from the last century.

A display featuring poems that feature all the various aspects of the winter and festive season.

Our featured author has a selection of their work collected and available to borrow, and any requests for further titles by this author from other Island libraries are free of charge.
