The consultation commences for each of them on the 10 November and ends on 8 December 2021.

Street Trading Policy

Gambling Policy

We are updating the Statement of Licensing Principles in accordance with Section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005.

The Gambling Act provides for a system of licensing and regulation for commercial gambling in England and Wales.

As the Licensing Authority we have responsibility for the licensing of gambling premises on the Isle of Wight.

Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Licensing Policy

The Department for Transport (DfT) has advised licensing authorities to consult on any proposed changes to licensing rules that may have considerable impacts on passengers and/or the trade.

We are asking for the views of the trade, members of the public, as well as a wide range of partner agencies and stakeholders, on the updating and implementation of the draft Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Licensing Policy . (PDF, 296KB, 17 pages)

The proposed changes are in line with the Statutory Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle Standards guidance , published in July 2020.
