The Blue
Badge scheme helps disabled people with severe mobility problems to access
goods and services by allowing them to park close to their destination.
Government
has changed the way of assessing who gets a Blue Badge to make the process
clearer and align it with wider disability benefit reforms. The Isle of Wight
Council administers the scheme for the Isle of Wight on behalf of the
Department for Transport
