Public Health - Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Social, community and residential care settings

We are in regular contact with care settings across the county and are issuing frequent updates as well as guidance on managing health and safety in care settings, illness prevention and where to go for support.

Detailed information and advice is available on the Government’s web pages.

Updated 6 April 2020: There has been a lot written in the media in the last few days about the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the current pandemic. The Government has issued new national guidance on infection prevention and control. The guidance includes updated information for those working in residential care settings; of particular use will be the PPE guidance.
