Rhymetime

Rhymetime is held every Thursday from 10.30am to 11.00am.  Free singing, dancing and music for toddlers.

Historical Association

At Sandown Library we have an exhibition of old Sandown photos throughout history, courtesy of the Sandown and District Historical Association. These are updated regularly and are well worth a look.

Find My Past

Sandown Library has free access to ancestry website 'Find My Past'. Search for your ancestors in census records and use parish records to find births, marriages and deaths dating back to 1538!  Pop in to the library for more information or give us a ring on the telephone number in the 'Contact' tab above.  Booking is a good idea but not always essential.

Family History

If you would like help getting started with your family history make an appointment for a free one to one, hour-long session in the library.  Sessions will take place on a Thursday morning at 11am. Booking is essential. For more information telephone us using the details on the 'Contact' tab above.

Knit and Natter

Knit and Natter takes place every Friday at 1.30pm at Sandown Library. Whether you’re an experienced knitter or a complete novice, come along and join in the fun. Free tea and coffee provided.

SingAbout

Our free singing group meets on alternate Thursdays at 3.00pm. Everyone welcome, no need to book! For more details ring Independant Arts on 01983 822437.

DanceMakers

Alternate Thursdays at 3.00pm, and every Tuesday at 3.30pm. A gentle, creative programme of dance excercises to music. All levels of mobility welcome. Our dance group is free and there is no need to book. For more details ring Independant Arts on 01983 822437.

Lego Club

The Lego Club is held every other Saturday at 11.00am to 12.00pm, our Lego Club is free of charge and there is no need to book. Come along and create models from our huge collection of Lego. Adults welcome to join in!

There are no Lego Clubs during the school summer holidays.

Cinema Club

Our  Cinema Club holds a film show on the second Friday of every month, at 7pm. Tickets are £3 and booking is essential. Early booking recommended. Contact the library to add your email to our mailing list for future titles.

Board games

A board games club for people of all ages takes place on Saturdays at 2pm. A wide variety of games in stock!
