The sustainable transport innovation grant is now open
The Isle of Wight Council is inviting applications to the Active Transport Innovation Grant. This gives organisations the opportunity to apply for funding to support the delivery of projects which increase the volumes of cycling and walking on the Island.
Now in its fifth year, the Active Travel Innovation Grant has supported over 20 Island organisations with over £100,000 of funding since it launched in 2016. Previous successful applicants include:
Aspire Ryde - to expand it’s Recycle a Bike scheme which enables jobseekers to repair and take ownership of bikes.
RouteFifty7 - to establish a new cycle hire presence on Shanklin esplanade.
The Seaview Hotel - to develop electric cycle hire linked to gourmet food experiences.
