Early Help Assessment (EHA)

Volunteer to help young people

Volunteer advert

The Isle of Wight Council is currently recruiting a team of volunteers to help provide support to Island children and families.

Volunteers can decide how much time they wish to commit. We have opportunities available in a range of areas, from mentoring work with young people leaving care to delivering outreach support to families in their homes.

Being a volunteer can make a real difference to children and young people's lives on the Island. By getting involved and becoming a volunteer you are telling a child, young person and their family that they are not alone and they have someone who wants to help them.

We are looking for

  • Volunteers that really enjoy working with young people and have good communication skills.
  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
  • All volunteers will require a clear criminal record check (DBS).
  • Full training will be provided.

We would love to hear from you and can provide more information on becoming a volunteer and how being a volunteer is a really important and rewarding role.

Please complete our online form or telephone 01983 823171 to chat to us about this opportunity.
