Stop smoking and weight management

The Stop Smoking and Weight Management services, previously provided by the Wellbeing Service, are now delivered by Healthy lifestyles Isle of Wight.

Smoke free homes

If you are not ready to quit smoking but would like more information on how to protect your family visit smoke free families. They provide advice on how to make your home and car smoke free.

Healthy eating

For easy meals and access to the Change4Life food scanner to help reduce levels of sugar in your diet visit One You Eat Better.

The Sugar Smart Isle of Wight campaign raises awareness of:

  • hidden sugars 
  • recommended levels
  • healthy alternatives

The campaign encourages individuals, groups, businesses, schools and organisation to join and make a pledge.

Being more active

NHS Better Health - Get Active includes tips on getting active for all, including the downloadable Active 10 app, as well as tailored advice for those living with a long term condition.

Exercise on Referral scheme

This scheme is currently suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions. The 1Leisure One card membership scheme is frozen, any referral will be charged according to the temporary COVID-19 fees in place at the time of the referral. Further updates expected Spring 2021.

The Exercise on Referral scheme is operated by 1Leisure and Public Health. This scheme can only be accessed directly with 1Leisure with a referral from a health professional.

Isle of Wight Council sports unit

The sports unit provides advice on walking and cycling challenges and 'Isle be active', for more information visit Sports Development Unit.
