Wheelchairs

Children and young wheelchair users who live on the Isle of Wight can also enjoy a day at the beach, park or anywhere else. The Landeez all-terrain wheelchair allows you to go where conventional wheelchairs can't. It is designed especially for outdoor use. It enables people with disabilities to come in to closer contact with nature.

Short Breaks is delighted to make these wheelchairs available for use to aid inclusion on schools trips and group outings. You can hire on an individual basis, for a morning or an afternoon free of charge, with refundable deposit.  The deposit of £25 will cover up to one day, per family, per week.

There are two wheelchairs available to hire from the following location:  

• Dinosaur  Isle, Sandown
• Sandown Lifeguard Station
