Green Island Grant

Green Homes Grant Voucher

If you are a homeowner or residential landlord you can apply for a Green Homes Grant voucher. This will help towards the cost of installing energy efficient improvements. Vouchers must be used and works completed by 31st March 2021. Find out more about the national Green Homes Grant Scheme.

Green Island Grant

The council has made a successful application for the Local Authority Delivery scheme. The award of £500,000 must improve the energy performance of eligible Island homes. Eligible households will have:

  • A combined income of less than £30,000 per year
  • An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E, F or G

The scheme will be open to owner-occupied, private rented and social rented properties.

The total grant available is up to £10,000 per household for owner-occupiers. Landlords eligible for up to £5,000 per property. This could fund:

  • insulation
  • a green heating system such as a heat pump
  • draught proofing
  • double glazing
  • solar panels
  • other energy efficiency measures

Funding for the installation/improvement of fossil fuel heating systems is not eligible.

The Footprint Trust is the council's support agency for the scheme. The application form is available on the Footprint Trust website.
