The Council has produced an online version of the Island Plan policies map which contains layers which have been updated since the Core Strategy was adopted. This map also includes additional layers such as the Council’s Strategic Flood Risk Assessment and further layers will be provided in the future to provide additional information for residents.
For Tree Preservation Orders, the relevant map layer is updated on a monthly basis so please consider this when viewing information. If you are in any doubt, please contact Planning Services who can confirm if a tree or trees are protected by a Tree Preservation Order

Well-located, planned and designed development can significantly improve the local environment and provide a better place for people to live.
The Environment Agency, Natural England and the Forestry Commission have produced this document Building a Better Environment that explains, for the first time in one place, their roles in new developments. To access this document please click here (PDF, 2.12MB, 36 pages).
