Draft Island Planning Strategy Consultation

The draft Island Planning Strategy has been published for public consultation, is now open and will run from Monday 3 December 2018 and was scheduled to end 12 noon  Monday 28 January 2019. Please note that the consultation period has now been extended to midday Monday 25 February, to give as much chance as possible for people to comment on the draft document.

As well as the draft strategy the council has published a series of explainer documents that outline the evidence and how it has informed the proposed policy approach, along with a draft Policies Map showing where the policies apply. (Please note, when using the draft Policies Map, select the map features

 

 

The council is keen to hear your views on the draft Island Planning Strategy and what you think should be included.

Please submit your comments on the draft strategy by visiting our online consultation website

Consultation start: Monday 3 December 2018.

Consultation end: Midday Monday 25 February 2019.

A paper copy of the draft Island Planning Strategy is available to view during opening hours in County Hall and Seaclose Office Receptions as well all libraries. The draft Island Planning Strategy is available to buy on request from Seaclose Office for £26 (black and white) or £130 (colour).

A member of our planning team will also be available at 30 High Street, Newport, every Tuesday between 10am and 3pm (except Christmas Day and New Year's Day) to answer any question on the strategy and where you can view a hard copy of the document, up until the end of the consultation period.
