Heritage Education Service Activities for Educational Groups

Children taking part in Museum Activities

The Heritage Education Service (HES) provides information and supplies useful classroom materials and resources.

The aim of this service is to support educational visits to Newport Roman Villa, Cowes Maritime Museum and the Guildhall Museum of Island History, as well as to Carisbrooke Castle Museum and the castle itself.

Museum and Outreach Workshops for 2019

Our museum activities are a great way for pupils to learn about 'significant historical events, people and places in their own locality'.

We have workshops for the following age groups:

  • EYFS / Key Stage 1
  • Workshops for Key Stage 2 and 3
  • Key Stage 4 and beyond
  • Two free workshops still available this term (can be adapted to suit all ages)
