Volunteer with Mountbatten

Monthly meetings in Cowes Library first Monday of the month 2.30pm - 4pm

Are you a Mountbatten volunteer or have you volunteered in the past? Are you interested in becoming a volunteer? Pop-into Cowes Library to talk about volunteering opportunities with Mountbatten Hospice. Whether it is information about your current role or finding out about new opportunities, you are very welcome.

RCS Employability Isle of Wight drop-in sessions

Last Monday of the month 1.30pm - 4pm. This is a free service.

Do you live in the Cowes area? Would you like some support with finding the right job or training to suit you? Perhaps you are finding some personal barriers that you need help to overcome. Meet RCS Employability Support Worker in Cowes Library on the last Monday of the month for free one-to-one sessions.

Machines and Robots Tuesday 23 August 2 - 4pm

Machines and Robots children's event 2 - 4pm. 'Design a machine drawing challenge'. It could be a silly idea or something more useful. A range of old household and other objects will be on show from the Isle of Wight Heritage Education Service for inspiration and handling. Children can also create an origami robot! The event is free and there is no need to book. Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout.

Dogstar - Canine adventures in Space with Jules Marriner Friday 19 August 10.30am - 12pm

Blast off with local author Jules Marriner and her story of Dogstar and children can make a rocket ready to blast off, to take home. The event is free. Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout.
