School Admissions

Secondary School Sept 2021

The online school admissions round to enable you to apply for a secondary school for September 2020 is now closed.

You are still able to apply for a secondary school place and can download an application form by clicking here.  If you are unable to download the application form we can send you one, to request an application form please use the 'contact' tab above for our details

Before completing your application you should read our Educating your Child booklet. This will provide you with further information on the admissions process. We strongly recommend that you consider using all the preferences available to you when making your application.  If you are unsuccessful in gaining a place at your preferred school(s), you will be allocated a place at the nearest school with space, which could be some distance away. It is important therefore that you choose your preferences wisely. Please note that naming the same school more than once will not increase your chances of being offered a place at that school.

Postal Application Process

  • Download an application form
  • Print and complete the form
  • Return completed form to: School Admissions and Transport, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD
  • If you cannot download the application form to complete you can request a paper application form from the School Admissions and Transport service by using the details found in the contact tab above.
