Positive cases of COVID-19 in Isle of Wight schools

Cases of COVID-19 reported by Isle of Wight schools

These are the Isle of Wight schools that have reported a case of COVID-19 in the past 10 days.

It is important to note that while the country is in lockdown (effective from 5 January 2020), there is no formal requirement for pupils who are remote learning, to notify their school if they (or a member of their household) contracts COVID-19. The schools listed are those that have been notified of a case(s) of COVID-19 in their school community and the school has, in turn, informed the council.

A 'positive case’ could be either an individual who has been in school since 4 January 2021 or an individual who has stayed at home. Where the individual has not been in school since the 4 January, there is no impact on those in school. On this basis, the below list cannot be considered to provide a complete record of all cases arising in the Island’s schools’ communities.

If a school has had no further cases during the 10-day isolation period, their name will be deleted from the list.
