Drawing with Conte Crayons
Tuesday 15 February, 10am - 3pm. £30/£10 concession.
Explore this wonderful medium which has been around since 1795 through mark making and enjoyable basic drawing & sketching tasks and then use the crayons to create an A3 still life drawing.
Release the Artist in You: First Steps to Art (four weeks)
Friday 4 to 25 Mach, 10am - 1pm. £65/£20 concession.
In this course we will look at observational drawing, line and tone, pencils and fine-liners, including pen and wash techniques. We will also cover simple perspective and colour theory.
Abstract Painting to Music (four weeks)
Monday 7 to 28 March, 10am - 1pm. £65/£20 concession.
Discover and explore the link between music and art, to create an abstract piece of work. Express yourself creatively by using colour with paint brush work, palette knife and texture, all to music.
Travel Poster Art Gouache
Wednesday 16 March, 10am - 3pm. £30/£10 concession.
Learn how to mix & use gouache paints and learn how to paint in the style of the great railway and London underground posters of the 1930’s & 40’s.
Painting in the Style of Barge Art
Tuesday 29 March, 10am - 3pm. £35/£15 concession.
Experiment with the basic shapes and colours that appear in traditional barge art, then apply to a suitable object. We will be supplying a metal jug, but you can bring an alternative item if you wish.
Painting a Memory Using Acrylics
Monday 4 April, 10am - 3pm. £30/£10 concession.
Learn the basics of creating paintings (realistic, semi-abstract or abstract) that recall a memory. Learn colour theory and how to mix colours and explore colours, shape, words, moods and feelings – that portray literally or abstractly a visual representation of a memory.
Make a Face-covering and Pouch

Great idea for not getting your clean and used masks mixed up by using these pretty bags. Pouches can be personalised however you wish, including an embroidered name if you wish.
Mini Me: Upcycle Denim into Matching Aprons for Yourself and Child (two weeks)
Wednesday 9 to 16 February, 10am -3pm. £55/£15 concession.
Turn your old jeans and denim jackets into a strong kitchen or artists apron with pockets; replicate it to make one for the small person in your house or grandchild.
Personalised Family Canvas Using Modge Podge
Friday 11 February, 10am - 3pm. £35/£15 concession.
Experiment with creating layered collage along with additional materials. Build a layered collage of your family and interests using Modge Podge.
Wet Felted Wrens Nest for the Garden
Saturday 19 February, 10am - 1pm. £20/£8 concession.
Create your own wrens bird nest to hang in a tree or a bush in your garden, using wet felting, merino wool tops and natural fibres . Hopefully you will entice a new family of wrens.

Make jewellery using epoxy resin, with sequins, beads, mica powder, tiny fresh flowers and glitter and any other like sea glass & tiny shells.
Practical Sewing Skills (four weeks)

Learn all the skills needed to make a garment from scratch, including how to re-create your favourite pieces by making your own pattern.
Mosaic Mirror (four weeks)
Wednesday 7 to 28 March 7pm - 9pm. £50/£20 concession.
Create a stunning mosaic using your own design and coloured tiles of your choice. Learn basic mosaic skills, cutting tiles and grouting techniques to produce a decorative mosaic mirror frame.
Trendy Beaded Loom Jewellery
Saturday 12 March, 10am - 3pm. £35/£15 concession.
Make a beaded necklace or bracelet using seed beads and a loom. Design and create your own design and watch it appear as you weave the beads. Price includes the wooden loom so you can continue at home.
Knitted Wire Beaded Bracelet

Tie Dye and Indian Block Printed Fabric for Patchwork (four weeks)
Thursday 17 March to 7 April, 10am - 1pm. £65/£20 concession.
Create unique beautiful pieces of fabric inspired by India, for your own craft projects! Create tie dyed and indigo cotton pieces, then select the best pieces and print them with a selection of beautiful Indian wood blocks.
Lino Printing for Springtime
Saturday 2 April, 10am - 3pm. £35/£15 concession.
Plan and create a lino cut with a spring influence, then print on a selection of different papers.
