Service update: COVID-19

The Philo Café, family history and iPad sessions are currently unavailable.

Philo Cafe at Cowes Library 7 - 9pm

This is a monthly event providing thoughtful and lively discussion and an opportunity to talk about the way we and our communities, national and international, deal with the challenges of modern life. Using the form of Socratic Method of careful listening and considered responses the group follows the tradition of a critical philosophy as used by the Society for the Furtherance of Critical Philosophy. No knowledge of academic philosophy is needed as critical philosophy begins with the experience and wisdom of ordinary people. View more information on the Society for the Furtherance of Critical Philosophy website.

Refreshments are available courtesy of the Supporters of Cowes Library Group, so just come along for an interesting and friendly evening or for more information contact Cowes Library by using our online form. Alternatively our other contact details can be found in the 'Contact' tab above.
