Dates and topics:

Thursday 12th September: When is ignorance bliss?

Thursday 17th October: Can right actions have bad consequences?

Thursday 28th November: Does pragmatism kill creativity?

This is a monthly event, and provides thoughtful and lively discussion and an opportunity to talk about the way we and our communities, as well as society, national and international, deal with the challenges of modern life. Using the form of Socratic Method of careful listening and considered responses, the group follows the tradition of a critical philosophy as used by the Society for the Furtherance of Critical Philosophy. No knowledge of academic philosophy is needed as critical philosophy begins with the experience and wisdom of ordinary people.
