No Cold Calling Zones

A No Cold Calling Zone (NCCZ) is a nominated area where residents have stated that they do not want traders to cold call at their homes without being invited. An NCCZ is set up with the aim to decrease doorstep crime incidents. Listed below are all the NCCZ for the Isle of Wight.

Businesses are advised not to cold call in designated NCCZ. Residents do not want you to call. If you repeatedly call and/or refuse to leave you may commit a criminal offence. Businesses should look out for No Cold Calling Zone signs on lampposts. The NCCZ signs identify the location of Zones. Individual households may also display signs outside of Zones. If you see a NCCZ sign do not cold call.

Brading:  All homes. 970 homes designated October 2007.

Bembridge: All homes. 2000 homes designation started October 2006. May 2012 all homes part of zone.

Brighstone: All homes. 80 homes designated 2005, 2000 homes 2013.

Gurnard: All homes. 820 homes designated in June 2007.

Newport:  Designated October 2006
