Brighstone Church of England Primary - new resources provision
- Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006, that Isle of Wight Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to BRIGHSTONE CE PRIMARY SCHOOL, New Road, Brighstone, Newport PO30 4BB (category of school – voluntary aided) by increasing the capacity of the school, with effect from 1 September 2025.
- The objectives of the proposal are to provide a new 12 place resourced provision based at Brighstone CE Primary School to accommodate pupils in the primary age range (4–11) with autism spectrum (AS) and/or speech language communication needs (SLCN) on the Isle of Wight.
- The current capacity of Brighstone CE Primary School is 105 and it is proposed to create capacity at a new resourced provision at the school by offering 12 new places. This will not affect the overall capacity of mainstream places at Brighstone CE Primary School.
- The capital cost is estimated to be £0.03million.
