Hunnyhill Primary School, Newport – resourced provision
- Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006, that Isle of Wight Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to Hunnyhill Primary School, Forest Rd, Newport PO30 5SH (category of school – community) by increasing the capacity of the school, with effect from 1 September 2025.
- The objectives of the proposal are to provide additional places within the resourced provision based at Hunnyhill Primary School to accommodate pupils in the age range (4-11) who have social emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties on the Isle of Wight.
- The current capacity of Hunnyhill Primary School is 420 and it is proposed to create capacity at the resourced provision for up to an additional 12 new places. This will not affect the overall capacity for mainstream pupils which will remain at 420.
- The capital cost estimated for this proposal is £0.3 million.
