Short Breaks Providers Wanted!

Would you like to become a Short Breaks provider and offer activities to children and young people with disabilities and/or additional needs, aged between 0-18 years old?

Or make already established groups more inclusive?

If your answer is 'Yes', then we would like to hear from you, please read the information on this web page and get in touch. 

Being a provider gives you opportunities for you to be able to support children and young people either within specialised groups and/or inclusive settings.

Support that Short Breaks can offer:

  • Financial support via grant applications (small and large).
  • Training opportunities.
  • Support and advice.
  • Communication aids.
  • Resource Library.
  • Marketing your organisation.
  • Networking with other organisations.

 

Expectations from Providers are:

  • You have £10,000.000 Public Liability Insurance.
  • You must attend at least three provider forums per year (these are run every quarter months).
  • That you are able to provide monthly data monitoring sheets.
  • That you market the activities you offer.
  • That you have safeguarding policies/risk assessments in place. 
  • That all your staff have enhanced DBS checks (disclosure and baring service).
  • You are able to provide the Isle of Wight Council financial information when requested.
