We are here to help and support people with mental health needs to recover and to maintain their wellbeing in the community. We do this by offering opportunities across the island and have centres in Cowes, Freshwater, Ryde and Ventnor.
We work with people individually to identify their personal goals and how we can achieve them over time. We arrange various sessions for those people who are not ready to move onto more independent activities. Staff support these sessions, working alongside small groups of people continuing their recovery. Sessions are held at various locations across the island. A charge is made for attendance at these sessions, which may be funded by health, the council or personal payment according to the individual circumstances.
We undertake to make sure there is always somewhere people can turn to if they are facing a crisis. Some find popping in for a coffee or tea and biscuit and having a short chat may be all that is needed to maintain their wellbeing when something crops up.
