Ian David WardAs the local member for Sandown South, it is my role to represent those living within the ward on the Isle of Wight Council.

I was elected in May 2005 and again in 2009. My term of office lasts until May 2013. I am delighted and honoured that local residents have put their faith in me to be their representative on the Island’s authority. My main purpose in standing for election is to start the regeneration of Sandown. We must think of the future and our children.

Biography: Ian Ward is Island born and was brought up in his home town of Sandown. Ian has recently retired from the Army after 30 successful years as an engineer.

During his career he rose from a private soldier to Major. He now works for the Probation Service in Newport.
