The policy establishes
the level of service considered appropriate in dealing with the Building
Regulations in order to achieve reasonable standards of Health and Safety and
to ensure that a Local Authority's duties and liabilities under the Building
Act and Building Regulations are adequately fulfilled, by determining what a
Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Working Policy should be and how the
details of that Policy may be achieved.
