DASH/RIC Training for Professionals
Details: The VAWG Strategic Partnership and Safeguarding Adults Board will be providing training for ‘front line’ service providers/staff (e.g. GP’s, community midwives, nurses, social workers, police, housing) to enable them to assess the level of risk exposed to victims and victims children when receiving disclosures of domestic violence/abuse.

Aims and Objectives of the course will be:

•Develop knowledge and understanding of current Domestic Violence legislation

•Identifying risk
•Safety planning
•Signposting support services
•Understanding the function of MARAC
•Completion of the DASH Risk Indicator Checklist
•Confidentiality and data disclosure
•Understanding the function of the MASH

Places on the course are limited, and you may be turned away on the day if you have not confirmed a place on the course. If you have not received your confirmation, or need another copy, please contact the organiser. PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF £50 FOR NON-ATTENDANCE.
