Healthwatch
What is Healthwatch?
There is a local Healthwatch in every area of England. They are an independent organisation that helps people to share their experiences – good or bad - of health and social care services.
What does local Healthwatch do?
- listens to what people say about health and care services
- tells the people in charge (like the NHS or local council) what is working well and what needs to change
- gives advice and information to help people find the care that they need
- checks services to see if they are doing a good job
Why is Healthwatch important?
Healthwatch is there to make sure that your voice is heard and that health and social care services work well for everyone.

Help shape the future of your local Healthwatch service
Islanders are being encouraged to take part in a new survey that will help shape how Healthwatch services are provided on the Isle of Wight in the years ahead.
