We're pleased to announce a fantastic opportunity to join the Councils legal service in its Procurement Team at the Isle of Wight Council as a Procurement Officer.

The post will play a key role in ensuring the council is compliant in its procurement activities as well as delivering efficiencies and securing best value.  The new team member will help the council maximise savings and benefits when it is spending public money in commissioning services and works. 

The procurement team is a friendly and supportive service and we want a new colleague to work together to support council colleagues from start to finish on our procurement projects.  Primarily the role will support the delivery of housing or construction projects but there may also be a need to also manage other types of projects such as other services or goods projects.

Previous relevant public or private procurement experience would be ideal but primarily we are looking for the right person with clear organisational skills and ability to understand and follow the legal framework that governs public procurement.
