Are you passionate about preparing nutritious meals and creating a welcoming dining experience?

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to support our catering service at The Adelaide Resource Centre, providing three daily meals for up to 25 residents — including weekends.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and cook meals, including special dietary options
  • Support menu planning and maintain food stock levels
  • Ensure kitchen hygiene and compliance with food safety regulations
  • Record temperatures and assist with risk assessments
  • Deputise for the Cook in Charge during absences
  • Attend Health & Safety training and participate in fire drills

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience working in a professional kitchen
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification
  • Knowledge of dietary needs and allergen safety
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills and record-keeping ability
