The Federation of the Church Schools of Shalfleet and Freshwater & Yarmouth are seeking to appoint a part-time HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT to work across the Federation

Working pattern:

To cover PPA, week A at Freshwater & Yarmouth CE Primary as follows:

  • Monday: all day in Year 1
  • Tuesday:  PM in Year 4
  • Wednesday:  all day in Year 3
  • Thursday:  all day in Year 2
  • Total week A hours:  22 hours

To cover PPA, week B at Shalfleet CE Primary as follows:

  • Tuesday:  all day in Year 1
  • Thursday:  all day in Year 5
  • Total week B hours: 13 hours

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic HLTA ready to make a real impact on children’s learning and development?  We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive Federation. The role will be working across both schools to cover the PPA of our teachers.

About You

  • Holds HLTA status or equivalent qualification
  • Has a proven experience working in a primary school setting
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Is confident in managing classroom behavior and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Is passionate about helping children thrive academically and socially
