The Isle of Wight Council’s Re-ablement service is looking for an assistant cook to work alongside and support the cook in charge. You will help to prepare, cook and serve meals to the people we support in our home, monitor kitchen stock and order supplies. 

Your role will include developing healthy and balanced meals, in consultation with residents and staff. You will also ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained. It would be helpful to have previous experience in the catering industry, you will be expected to hold or undertake infection control and food hygiene training. We are looking to appoint an individual with good listening and observational skills and awareness of the challenges faced by people who need care and support.
