We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounting Technician within our busy finance team.

You will work within the Financial Management Team to deliver all aspects of a management accounting role reporting to the Finance Business Partner.  The post will be supporting the Adult Social Care Directorate, including Housing Needs and Public Health Services.

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified or have a relevant equivalent qualification and be able to communicate and work effectively with budget managers and partners. You will also have experience of budgetary control and financial management in an organisation, as well as being an organised individual with a high attention to detail.

You will be a team player, who can quickly build strong relationships with the team and officers and will thrive on working collaboratively to achieve outcomes for the Council. A flexible approach and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities is essential, as is the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.  In addition to an open and friendly environment, you’ll enjoy an excellent benefits package including 31 days annual leave, flexible working and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
