Hours: 1x 30 hours
Shifts: A mixture of morning and afternoon shifts; 
Mornings: 07:15 - 14:45 Mon-Sun
Afternoons: 14:30 - 22:00 Mon-Sun

The Isle of Wight Council operates Plean Dene residential Learning Disability Home which provides a safe environment for the residents enabling them to lead fulfilled and enriched lives. 

We are looking to appoint a positive, committed and forward-thinking Support Worker who will be supporting residents in the authority-run homes for adults with a learning disability and Behaviours that Challenge.

You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service, which has a person-centred approach and actively supports and maximises residents' independence and life experience.

From going for walks on the beach with residents to taking part during in-house parties and supporting activities like cooking, or gardening in our beautiful grounds, there is always something fun happening at Plean Dene and now you can be a part of it.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an appropriate level of literacy and numeracy with a clear commitment to excellence.

It is an important feature of these roles that residents have access to the range of community activities and we therefore welcome applications from people who are able to drive vehicles used by the residents in the homes.

Shift patterns will be a variation of the below:

07:15-14:45

14:30-22:00
