Hours: 12.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 10.45am – 1.15pm term time only) FTE

Cowes Primary run their own independent school kitchen providing freshly prepared and locally sourced ingredients. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team as a Kitchen Assistant.
We are looking for an individual who has a good knowledge of, and is passionate about, food. The successful candidate will need to be motivated, reliable and be able to work as part of a team. Having a sense of humour is also a vital quality!
Duties include (but not limited to):
• Washing up
• Setting up and clearing away
• Cleaning of the kitchen and equipment, which may involve some heavy lifting.
• There may be a requirement to assist in the serving of meals,
• Basic preparation of foods and beverages
• General kitchen duties.
A food hygiene certificate is an advantage, though training can be given.

The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
