Hours: 37 per week
The Council are seeking to recruit a trainee solicitor to join the councils in house legal service and work in the social care legal team.
The successful candidates will be confident and articulate. Having already demonstrated your
academic credentials by completing the Legal Practice Course you will be looking to make a rapid transition from academia to real world problem solving within an evolving legal
Your advice will be key to decision making within a supportive and supervised environment.
The post will focus on child protection, adult protection and education. The successful
candidate will be required to assist in attending meetings, offering legal advice and drafting
documents as well as appearing in court.
This position will allow the successful candidate to take the exciting opportunities that local
government work provides particularly in relation to advocacy.
Some previous experience of working in a legal environment would be an advantage although you will be supported by an existing team of highly experienced fee earners.
