Are you passionate about partnerships, innovation and improving people’s lives?  If so, we have just the role for you.

We are changing things – at pace – in commissioning and our sights are set on being a national exemplar of innovation and excellence, delivering the very best person-centred outcomes for vulnerable adults living on the Isle of Wight.

We have made huge progress, but in many ways our journey to great is just beginning.

We are looking for the right person to join our friendly, supportive, dynamic, go getting team as a commissioning assistant for 9 months covering maternity leave.  Working as an integral part of our team you will really be able to make a difference.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a knowledge of adult social care who wishes to be part of commissioning and quality assuring the avenues of support that meet the needs of our most vulnerable island residents working with them to ensure we have the right services in the right place at the right time.

This role requires exceptional communication and analytical skills.  You will be able to write reports, analyse data and have knowledge of computer systems.  You will be a good communicator with the ability to develop and maintain positive, proactive working  relationships with provider organisations as well as with other stakeholders including, social care, voluntary sector, health partners and most importantly our island residents working together to co-design and co-produce outcome focussed commissioning solutions that will enable us to deliver our Care Close to Home strategy.

You will be supporting our commissioners and will also hold your own portfolio of work.  You will receive regular 1-1 supervision, have support from your line manager and attend regular team meetings.  There will also be opportunities for training to support your professional development.

As a team, we strongly believe in and apply the following principles:

• We see the potential in all people and work with their strengths

• We listen, learn and respond through co-production

• We apply national best practice

• We work together

• We see people, not labels

If you share our vision and values and are interested in this role, we would love to hear from you.
