A fixed term vacancy has arisen within the ICT Department to lead and manage on the Customer Contact project in support of the Council’s Corporate Plan and Digital Strategy, until 31st March 2024.

The aim of the Customer Contact project is to upgrade or replace the existing telephony and contact centre technologies with a new solution, that meets organisational and stakeholder requirements ensuring availability, resilience and value for money.

The post reports to the ICT Operations Manager and will be required to work alongside various ICT operational teams and key stakeholders across the Council, providing regular updates to the project board.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate proven project management experience of managing complex projects, knowledge of the five-case model, the ability to deliver project documentation using a recognised methodology or framework, as well as strong project management skills to ensure the project is delivered to scope, within budget and on time.

To succeed in the role, you will need to be enthusiast, self-motivated and have a flexible approach to work, excellent communication skills, the ability to adapt to project needs and be comfortable working in an agile environment.
