The countryside and conservation

Volunteering helps you get fit, learn new skills, and help conservation to continue long into the future!

Wildlife Warriors

Join the Wildlife Warriors to help manage and improve our local nature reserves. Tasks are usually arranged for the first Friday of every month at various sites but check details. All tools and training are provided. You need to wear stout footwear and suitable clothing for working outdoors. Call us for more information on how to get involved.

Green Gym

Operates every Wednesday and offers a way of becoming healthier by taking part in conservation activities. If you are interested in volunteering and wish to learn more, call Alison Hounslow on mobile 07528 376399 or email info.iwgreengym@gmail.com before turning up to a session. You can also visit the Green Gym website.

Other opportunities

Other organisations such as the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, National Trust and RSPB often need volunteer help with their practical conservation tasks.
