Sexual Behaviours: Traffic Light Tool Training

Target Group:

Isle of Wight council Children social care staff, HCC and IOW YOT, Schools, CAMHS and voluntary agency’s staff that’s are required to understand and support the Sexual Behaviours of children and young people they work with.

Course Aims:
• Recognise sexual behaviours and differentiate between those which are developmental/healthy and those which are unhealthy/harmful.
• We want you to explore your own values and understand how they impact on decision making
• Develop a common language around developmental and unhealthy sexual behaviour

Intended Impact:

By the end of the training you will be able to:

• Clarify your own values in relation to sexuality
• Identify if a situation is red, amber or green on the sexual behaviours traffic light tool
• Explain the importance of a common language in relation to developmental and harmful/unhealthy sexual behaviours

Isle of Wight Council employees should book via SAP when possible. Employees without access to SAP and external delegates can book by completing the online application form

Brook's nationally recognised Sexual Behaviours Traffic Light Tool training provides a highly visible, multi-agency response that helps professionals identify and respond appropriately to sexual behaviours.
