The Isle of Wight Council has been employing individuals as Apprentices for many years and these have worked in various service areas including: Planning, Legal, Facilities and Fleet Management, Creditor Payments, Learning and Development, Adult and Children's Social Care, SEN Service, and Human Resources.

The Isle of Wight Council is also a corporate parent to care leavers, and as any good parent, we want to make sure care leavers have the best possible support to help them thrive as they grow older.  The 123 Programme is available to all care leavers which can provide work experience, traineeships and apprenticeships within council departments and other contracted services.
