Children and young people’s plan
Residents were asked to give their views on a document called the Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) 2014 to 2017. This plan aims to improve the lives of children, young people and their families. It builds on the work currently underway to improve services for children and young people on the Island. The plan includes ways to improve lifestyle choices, obesity, poverty and domestic abuse.
The Children’s Trust produced an action plan for 2014 to 2015. This sets what outcomes and actions are required to make progress in the priority areas of the 2014 to 2017 Children and Young People’s Plan. The intended outcomes and the evidence required to show how the Children’s Trust is making a difference directly link to the Public Health Annual Report for 2013 and the current Health and Wellbeing Strategy (2013 to 2016).
Progress will be monitored by the Children’s Trust Board. An annual report will be prepared for presentation to the Health and Wellbeing Board. This will inform the assessment of need and influence the next three-year Children and Young People’s Plan.
